Introduction to Ayurveda

with Keshari Das

October 20 | Vata Season Workshop
February 9 | Kapha Season Workshop
June 7 | Pitta Season Workshop

$35 for each workshop, $90 for the series

Ayurveda is a holistic medical system indigenous to ancient India. It is also a way of life, unconfined by culture, ever relevant today. This wisdom tradition helps us develop subtler awareness of ourselves and our environments, encouraging us to make life-enhancing choices according to our individual and dynamic needs.

In these interactive workshops we will consider basic Ayurvedic principles and explore self-care practices to nurture all five senses.

\\ In October, our seasonal focus is balancing Vata Dosha, the vital force which governs movement and communication.

\\ In February, balancing Kapha Dosha, which governs stability and growth.

\\ In June, balancing Pitta Dosha, which governs digestion and transformation.

Together we will gently ease the passage of body, mind and spirit into each season.

Prema 200 hr RYT Immersion

+ 10 additional optional mentorship hours* (with a senior Prema teacher) immersed in the art of teaching

As time becomes limited to delve into the teachings of yoga, we have redesigned this program to be more an immersion into the practice geared towards the serious student/possible teacher. Upon completion of all requirements, you may register with the Yoga Alliance.

Whether you’re interested in becoming a teacher of yoga (or don’t know yet) or wanting to simply learn more, the Prema Yoga Brooklyn Immersion will support you on your unique path by focusing on a well rounded comprehensive view into the practice. With its emphasis on integrating our yoga practice into our daily lives, this innovative program will help you connect to a greater sense of Self and relationship by accessing your meaning of yoga in a comprehensive and full way—through knowledge, contemplation, service, integration and community. In order to come into authenticity, we give all these experiences equal importance and will encourage you to dedicate hard work, practice and presence to your journey.

* The Mentorship program is a separate cost and can be discussed/scheduled post completion of the 200 hours
